Description

Ingredients

For the Beef

  • 3–4 lb beef chuck roast

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (or beef gravy, depending on preference)

  • 1 medium onion, sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

For Serving

  • Sandwich buns or rolls

  • Optional toppings:

    • Coleslaw

    • Pickles

    • Sliced cheese

    • Caramelized onions



Instructions

1. Prepare the Beef

  • Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika on all sides.

2. Assemble in Slow Cooker

  • Place sliced onions at the bottom of the slow cooker.

  • Add the seasoned beef on top.

  • Pour in beef broth, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic.

3. Slow Cook

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours, until the beef is very tender and easily pulls apart.

4. Shred the Beef

  • Remove the beef and shred it using two forks.

  • Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.

  • Let it cook an additional 20–30 minutes to absorb more flavor.

5. Serve

  • Spoon the shredded beef onto sandwich buns.

  • Add your favorite toppings and serve warm.
