        One-Skillet Cajun Honey Garlic Sausage & Rice 



 Description

A quick, flavorful one-pan meal made with smoky sausage, tender rice, bold Cajun spices, fragrant garlic, and a touch of honey for sweet-savory balance. Perfect for an easy weeknight dinner with minimal cleanup.



 Ingredients (about 4 servings)

  • 14 oz smoked sausage, sliced

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice, rinsed

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1½ teaspoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 2 cups chicken broth (preferably low-sodium)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)



 Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned on both sides.

  3. Stir in the minced garlic and Cajun seasoning; cook briefly until fragrant.

  4. Add the rice and stir well to coat it with the sausage and spices.

  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.

  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18–20 minutes until the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.

  7. Remove from heat, drizzle in the honey, and gently stir to combine.

  8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.
