How to Make Nutella Balls
1. Make the base mixture
-
In a bowl, combine Nutella, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
-
Add the crushed biscuits and chopped hazelnuts.
-
Mix until you get a thick dough-like consistency.
-
If too dry, add 1 tablespoon of milk at a time.
-
If too sticky, add 1–2 tablespoons of biscuit crumbs.
2. Shape the balls
-
Scoop small portions and roll into smooth balls using your palms.
-
Aim for about 1-inch (2.5 cm) balls.
3. Chill the balls
-
Place on a tray lined with parchment paper.
-
Refrigerate 20–30 minutes so they firm up.
4. Coat the balls
Dip each ball into your chosen coating:
-
Chocolate coating:
-
Melt chocolate in the microwave (20-second bursts) or double boiler.
-
Dip each ball and place back on parchment to set.
-
-
Dry coating:
-
Roll in chopped hazelnuts, sprinkles, cocoa, or coconut.
-
5. Let them set
-
If chocolate-coated, chill again for 10–15 minutes until fully hardened.
